有利因素: 發病時間短、年齡較輕、面頸或軀幹受累、白斑內無白毛、目前處於穩定期、本身膚色較深。
不利因素: 病程長、手足或嘴唇受累、白斑內出現白毛、有活躍同形反應、病變範圍極廣。

坦誠的實際期望

• 不接受治療而自行復色者不足 10% 至 20%，且多為部分復色。
• 沒有任何治療可以快速見效。任何評估至少需要 3 至 6 個月。
• 復色一般先在白斑內的毛孔周圍出現細小色點，再逐步融合。
• 新生色素初期可能比周圍膚色深或淺，數月後通常會逐漸均勻。
• 對大部分患者而言，合理目標是外露部位獲得顯著改善，而非每一塊白斑完全消失。
• 節段型白蝕會在 6 至 24 個月內自行停止擴散，甚少復發，但藥物治療難以令其復色——手術才是答案。
• 白蝕是終生的體質傾向。維持治療才是保住療效的關鍵。
